Veronika Part's Farewell performance, July 8th, 2017

Veronika Part gave her final ABT performance Saturday afternoon (Balanchine's Mozartiana), according to The New York Times.

A spokeswoman for Ballet Theater said the company, which does not discuss personnel matters, would not comment further. Miss Part was not available to comment last Monday.

There is but a "rumour" that similarly to Xiomara Reyes and Michelle Wiles, this is a forced retirement as her contract for next year was not renewed by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

Miss Part had been with the ABT since 1996.
