Balletclub from The Vienna State Opera and Volksoper: 2018's Prize for Support and Encouragement
Last June 14th the Balletclub from the Vienna State Opera and Volksoper awarded once more its Prize for Support and Encouragement in the presence of the State Opera's Director Dominique Meyer and Ballet Director Manuel Legris.
This year's recipient is lovely Elena Bottaro, not only a beautiful and very charming young Lady from Italy but a gifted demi-soloist at the Vienna State Ballet. Miss Bottaro was born in Noventa Vicentina and had her schooling formation at the Scuola di Ballo del Teatro alla Scala, where she, among others, studied with Bella Ratschinskaia and Paola Vismara. She was engaged by the Vienna State Opera in 2014 and was appointed Demi-Soloist last year.
The Ceremony took place at the hotel "The Harmonie Vienna" and was once more sponsored and hosted by the householder, Mrs. Mag. Sonja Wimmer who, together with the Balletclub's President, Mrs. Ingeborg Tichy-Luger, bestowed the prize upon Miss Bottaro.
Maddalena Del Gobbo and her Viola da Gamba cared for the evening's perfect musical framing and the surprise present was brought by the painter Leo Stopfer, who portrayed Miss Bottaro a short while ago.
After the official part of the evening the guests, which included prominent figures like
S.E. Dr. Gregor Woschnagg, S.E. Dr. Konstantin Prevedourakis, Mrs. Mag. Patrizia Fusco from the Italian Embassy as well as many members from The Vienna State Vallet and from the Balletclub, reveled on the delicious Buffet, which was kindly sponsored by the Balletclub member, Mrs. Marion Reisner-Seifert.
We congratulate Miss Bottaro and wish her further much success and realizations in her career!
Many Thanks to Mrs. Tichy-Luger for having, in the first place, initiated this project and for having kept it "going" through all theses years. This is utterly important for young dancers' generations. A huge incentive and stimulus for them!
