Coffee Time: Lucille Bremer & Fred Astaire (1945)

The completely forgotten Lucille Bremer - a very good dancer and actress that MGM tried very hard to promote - even in leading roles - and that did not appeal to audiences. Here she is partnering Fred Astaire in the, also, long-forgotten “Yolanda and the Thief” - a beautiful MGM Musical from the 40s in Technicolor - isn’t life simply more beautiful in Technicolor, especially when you are red-haired? :-)

Lovely costumes (especially hers) and a charming set supposed to be in Rio, Copacabana. .

Pay attention to the interesting Tempo of the choreography (5/4) when related to the very square (4/4) rhythm. I like that…
