It is anyways very difficult, nearly impossible for me to put into words what dance means to me.

If we could do that about Dance, than it would be literature. Not Dance anymore.

Dance is a form of expression since the the start of civilization. Our ancestors danced even before they could talk. Later they danced to the Gods in religious celebrations and in life and death rituals, to express something that transcends the power of words.

That is why I question if we should put into words what dance means or if we, instead, should dance the meaning of the words.

This beautiful young dancer, Florient Cador, whose work I love very much, does not have to “say it”: he “dances it all”. And this is what I love.
