Be Welcome.

Here it is all about dance - contemplated from many different angles - and about looking at things differently.

Leslie Caron's (very) short Dance career...

Not long ago, Leslie Caron complained about the bad nourishment she had during the war years and how weak she felt… Is this the reason why she had such a short career as a dancer, didn’t pursue it further and hung her ballet shoes just after filming “Daddy long legs” with Fred Astaire back in 1955? She became a wonderful actress (“The L-shaped room”, “The doctor’s dilemma”, “Fanny”, “Is Paris burning"?”, “Valentino” and so many others) but I wish I had seen her dance a little bit more…

I remember, it must have been the late 1970s, when she appeared in a charity Gala and danced with Nureyev and Baryshnikov. She is the only person in the world who can claim that she danced with both, at the same time!
