Be Welcome.

Here it is all about dance - contemplated from many different angles - and about looking at things differently.

Pas Assemblé...

Pas Assemblé...

When I stopped dancing, my feelings were quite mixed, but I remember quite distinctly saying to myself:

„At least I won’t have to do an Assemblé ever again!“. Why? Oh, it was the step I most hated, and it always seemed to be following me, everywhere. Today, I understand its importance thoroughly. But, I hated it so…

Nowadays, I also realise that, back in Brazil, Mme. Tatiana Leskova never taught us how to make an Assemblé properly. Perhaps she also did not fully understand the movement.

That is, unfortunately, what you get by having a teacher who had no proper „school“ and changed her methods every year, after her annual trip to Paris, the same way she changed her Courréges Tailleur of the Season.

Now I ask you:

Apart from your thoughts and cares on a „Pas Assemblé“ (or not), do you believe it to be a step in which you go from one foot to two or from two feet to two? Opinions diverge. People disagree about this (Perhaps because of a certain lack of knowledge about the mechanics of the step?)

What is your opinion about it? I’ll leave you with that today!
